Insurance, explained
Your insurance quote checklist
A little preparation can make your quote conversation more productive.
The quick answer
Have your current policy, location, desired start date and a description of what you need to insure ready. Additional information depends on the type of coverage and the insurer’s underwriting requirements.
Build a checklist for your situation ↗
For your home or apartment
Gather the address, occupancy details, property information and lender or lease requirements. For a condo, include the association’s insurance summary.
For your vehicles
Have vehicle details, driver information, garaging locations and an honest description of personal or business use.
For your business
Prepare a description of operations, revenue, payroll, locations, vehicles and equipment. Include contracts with insurance requirements.
Keep sensitive documents secure
